A Square is looking for a 3D Art Intern that is a self-starter, has excellent problem-solving and time management skills, and works well in a team environment. This role is responsible for assisting in the creation of unique art assets for internal projects as well as growing their skills through instruction and critique.

Nice To Haves
- Understanding of game engine art tools such as animators, materials, shaders, sprite editors, and optimization.
- Unreal/Unity Engine experience
- UI/UX and 2D Vector Art knowledge
- Hard surface modeling knowledge
- Knowledge in virtual reality, augmented reality, or mobile design
- Technical writing and documentation skills
- A passion for making and playing video games
Requirements
- Holds or is obtaining a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Digital Media or Game Design
- Knowledgeable in 3D modeling software clean topology, quad-focused modeling, and proper file formats
- Proper UV Layouts and Texture Maps, familiar with PBR texture types
- Able to work with instruction and constructive feedback, and use it to implement changes and redesigns that fit work within existing art pipelines
- Ability to create a unique look and style of a product
- Proficiency in art techniques and terminology
- Comfortable working closely with designers and developers to make adjustments and integrate assets
- Self-motivated and able to follow instructions closely
- Familiar with Agile/Scrum and able to communicate effectively
